From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (May 3): RECOGNIZED | 61st IB Officers and Personnel Receive Awards
CAMP GEN MACARIO B PERALTA JR, Jamindan, Capiz (DWDD) – Officers and Enlisted Personnel of the 61st Infantry “Hunter” Battalion received various recognition during the 43rd Anniversary of the Philippine Army 3rd Infantry “Spearhead” Division.
Recipients were Capt Gilbert L Facunla – Best Junior Officer, Tsg Ian M Edral – Best First Seargent, Sgt Leonardo A ANdea Jr. – Best Platoon Seargent, Sgt Marlon D Daned – Best Squad Leader and Dr. Ma. Sheila V Aranas – Stakeholder Awardee.
Col Leonardo I Pena (MNSA) received the Meritorious Achievement Medal while the unit received the Compliant Status in regards the Army Transformation RoadMap.
The leadership of the 61IB attributed their success to people who continue to support and believe in the unit in their selfless endeavor to serve the community. 61IB / AES
