Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur (DWDD) – The Army Soldiers of 401st (Unity) Brigade join the delivery of Medical and Dental Services to thousands of beneficiaries during the Provincial Medical and Dental Mission and Feeding Programat Brgy LaPurisima, Properidad, Agusan del Sur on January 20, 2016 (Wednesday).
Different National Government Agencies and Local Government employees attend the activity in full force headed by Gov. Adolph Edward G Plaza, Provincial Governor of Agusan del Sur and MayorAlbin Magdamit of Prosperidad.
The Army contingents from 401st Unity Brigade under the command of Col Alexander Macarioassist the successful activity benefitting almost thousands of local folks on the following services; circumcision, Dental and Medical Check-up, Tooth extraction, Free Haircut, Feeding Program, Medicine distribution. Aside from the delivery of community services, the Army provided area security with the PNP.
A dialogue also held between the Provincial/Municipal Leaders, the IP leaders, Army and PNP which tackled conflict resolutions in the area through “BAYANIHAN” or convergence effort.
“We are gratified for helping communities especially those subjugated by the communists NPA” says Col Macario. “We will also pressed the fight on our quest for Peace” he added as he mentioned the recent incident where the Army Soldiers seized an NPA encampment resulted to the recovery of One (1) AK-47 with one (1) Magazine loaded with ammunition, One (1) Anti-Personnel Landmine and assorted war materials One (1) Rifle Grenade, Five (5) Blasting Caps, One (1) Icom Radio, Two Electrical detonating Switch, One Cellphone, 200 meters electrical detonating wire, Five (5) backpacks, Volumes of subversive documents, and personal belongings from Armed Encounter against undetermined number of Communist NPA from GF19A, NEMRC under @ IAN at So Anahawan, Brgy Mabuhay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur on January 16, 2016.
