CPP/NPA-East Camarines Sur: Bigo ang 83rd IBPA na magapi ang mamamayan ng Camarines Sur

Propaganda statement posted to the PRWC Newsroom (Jan 1, 2022): Bigo ang 83rd IBPA na magapi ang mamamayan ng Camarines Sur

January 1, 2022

Kalinaw News: Eastern Mindanao Command Caps Off 2021 with More than 2K CTG Members Neutralized

Posted to Kalinaw News (Jan 4, 2022): Eastern Mindanao Command Caps Off 2021 with More than 2K CTG Members Neutralized

NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – Armed with sheer determination and strong will to end the local communist armed conflict, Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom), through the leadership of LtGen. Greg T. Almerol continues to sustain its gains by neutralizing more than 2,000 communist terrorists in 2021.

Through the intensified focused military operations of the Command and the strong support of the communities, Local Government Units, and former rebels and cadres, a total of 70 communist terrorists were killed in combat operations, 147 were apprehended, arrested and captured, 630 capitulated, and 1,224 allies withdrew their support for the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in 2021.

Soldiers of EastMinCom were also able to cut down the CTG’s resources by recovering 690 high-powered and low-powered firearms through combat operations and surrender.

In the same vein, troops were able to secure several communities from the CTG’s indiscriminate attacks through the recovery of 97 International Humanitarian Law-banned anti-personnel mines.

On top of these, 192 CTG lairs were also discovered by the troops in several parts of Eastern Mindanao through the aid of concerned citizens and former rebels who shared information with intel value.

Among the breakthroughs of EastMinCom since LtGen. Almerol took its helm on March 8, 2021 include the dismantling of eight CTG Guerrilla Fronts (GFs) identified as GF 4A, GF 88, GF North, GF South, GF 68A, GF 55, GF 89, GF Malayag and the Regional Guerrilla Unit, Pulang Bagani Command.

EastMinCom also delivered major blows to the CTG when it neutralized a total of 22 key CTG personalities which included Jorge “Ka Oris” Madlos, Commander and spokesperson of the National Operations Command and also of National Democratic Front (NDF) in Mindanao; Arian Jane Ochate Ramos alias Marikit, Secretary of Guerilla Front 55, Sub-Regional Committee 5, Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC); Pedro Arnado, Chairperson of Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas – SMRC; Danny Huit alias Bosyong, Secreteary of GF North; Khim Agad Mapoy alias Patrick, Secretary of GF4A Sub-Regional Committee 3, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC); Ramil Banawan alias Migs/Kim, Secretary of GF Malayag; Adelaida Magpatok alias Gwen/Emyang /Kudaw/Robby, Former Secretary of Far South Mindanao Region (FSMR), NDF consultant, and CPP-NPA-NDF Central Committee Member; Jocy Villaruel Papasin alias Domai, Front Secretary of Guerrilla Front 18, Sub-Regional Committee 2, SMRC; and Billy Berana Jr. alias Borjack/Simeon, Secretary of Guerrilla Front Alip, Regional Operations Command, Regional Sentro de Grabidad, FSMR; Anna Sandra Reyes alias Kaye, Central Committee member of the CPP and Secretary of the Regional City and Town Committee (RCTC) of the SMRC.

While making sure that efforts to curtail the communist armed conflict continue their course, troops were also able to make their presence felt in times of crisis by performing their duties as frontliners during the Covid-19 pandemic and natural calamities.

LtGen. Almerol lauded the troops for these accomplishments which he said were significant in helping the country move forward with its goal to quell the more than five decades of communist terrorism in the country.

“Our troops have proven their true mettle not only in combat operations but also in times of crisis. Navigating through the pandemic and natural calamities while doing their mandated tasks as protector of the State and the people made our forces even more resilient and ready to come to the Filipino’s aid at all times,” LtGen. Almerol said.

“All of these accomplishments, however, would not be possible without the strong support from our stakeholders who are as determined as we are in ending the local communist armed conflict in Eastern Mindanao and the entire Philippines,” LtGen. Almerol expressed, urging Filipinos to continue to be on board in order to achieve the collective dreams of long-lasting peace and development.

Meanwhile, the EastMinCom Commander reiterated his call on the remaining CTG members and leaders to consider embracing a peaceful resolution of the armed conflict by accepting the government’s offer through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program. He also added that their surrender could be part of their New Year’s resolution to finally live a peaceful life together with their families.

LtGen. Almerol also assured the public that EastMinCom’s will continue to maximize their efforts in addressing the challenges brought by communist terrorism through combat and non-military means.

Kalinaw News: Civilian tip leads to the apprehension of an NPA rebel in MisOr

CLAVERIA, MISAMIS ORIENTAL – The joint troops of the 58th Infantry “Dimalulupig” Battalion (58IB), 1001st RMFB10, and Gingoog CPS, captured one New People’s Army (NPA) rebel at Sitio Palapay, Barangay Binakalan, Gingoog City, December 30, 2021.

The successful apprehension of Ridon Cablas Romania, alias Uno, was attributed to the tip-off from a concerned citizen who happens to be a former rebel as well and identified Uno’s presence at Barangay Binakalan, Gingoog City. Authorities from the troops of 58IB coordinated with the PNP and they both acted quickly upon the information.

Alias Uno is a member of Guerilla Front Huawei, Sub-Regional Committee 1, North Central Mindanao Regional Command, 34 years old, and a resident of Sitio Roa-roa, Barangay Umagos, Lagonglong. He also has standing cases of Attempted and Frustrated Murders.

Kalinaw News: 98IB welcomes 2022 with a score against CTG

Posted to Kalinaw News (Jan 3, 2022): 98IB welcomes 2022 with a score against CTG

CAMP MELCHOR F DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela- Troops of 98th Infantry Battalion greeted the new year with a recovery of an arms cache owned by the CTG remnants in Sitio Nursery, Barangay Disulap, San Mariano, Isabela on January 01, 2022.

Residents of the said place tipped off the information where the CTG remnants are hiding their weapons. The troops immediately acted on the information that led them to recover two M16 A1 rifles, one Improvised Garand Rifle, and a clip of ammunition.

The locals said that they gave the information so that the members of the CTGs will not go near their barangay. This is also a manifestation that they do not want any presence of the terrorist group in their community. They also added that giving information is part of their shared responsibility in achieving peace and progress in their community.

MGen Laurence E Mina, Commander of 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army extended his gratitude to the locals because of their cooperation in ending the local communist armed conflict. “You have saved the troops and other innocent civilians that may be victims of that weapons. Thank you for continuously providing information that helps in protecting the people against the threat of the terrorist group.”

“Let us all continue to work hand in hand in achieving peace and inclusive development for our community, our family, and for the future generations.” the general ended.

Kalinaw News: CTG member unfolds a new chapter in 2022

Posted to Kalinaw News (Jan 1, 2022): CTG member unfolds a new chapter in 2022

CAMP MELCHOR F DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela- A child courier turned armed member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) welcomes the new year with his family as he returned to the folds of the law on December 31, 2021, on 17th Infantry Battalion Headquarters, Bangag, Lal-lo, Cagayan.

Alias Frank, 25 years old, S4 of West Front Committee, Komiteng Probinsya (KOMPROB) Cagayan-Komiteng Rehiyon-Cagayan Valley (KR-CV) revealed that at the age of 13, he was utilized by the CTG as a courier in some barangays in Baggao, Cagayan. He was then forced to join the terrorist group sometime in 2018. A certain alias Simoy and his group brought alias Frank in Dummitton, Barangay Malayugan, Flora, Apayao, specifically in the CTG encampment. He became an armed member of the terrorist group until 2021.

The former rebel decided to return to the folds of the law because of struggles and difficulties as a member of the CTG. “Gusto ko nang magbagong buhay. Ang hirap ng pamumuhay sa loob ng kilusan. Hindi ko makasama ang pamilya ko. Kahit man lang bisitahin sila ay hindi ako pinapayagan,” alias Frank said to the troops as he emotionally reminisces his unfortunate life as a member of the CTG. “Pinangakuan din nila ako dati na makapag-aaral ako kapag sumama ako sa kanila. Pero iba ang pina-aral sa akin. Patungkol sa rebolusyon at mga paninira sa gobyerno. Isa lang ako sa mga ginamit nila (CTG) para sa kanilang mga pansarling interes!” he exclaimed.

Additionally, through the implemented Community Support Program, he was enlightened of the deceitful tactics and selfish interests of the terrorist group. “Ilang beses ko nang ginustong umuwi pero pinipigilan nila ako. Gustung-gusto ko nang magbagong buhay kasama ang aking pamilya. Kaya sobrang nagpapasalamat ako na meron ang kasundaluhan ng 17IB, kapulisan, at iba pang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan na tumulong sa aking ligtas na pagtalikod sa teroristang NPA.” Alias Frank survived the close air support of the Philippine Airforce during the clash of the government troops and the members of the CTG in Barangay Dungeg, Sta. Teresita, Cagayan last September 2021.

MGen Laurence E Mina, Commander of 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, welcomed alias Frank back in the folds of the government. “You made the right choice by coming back to the pillars of the government. Live your life in comfort together with your family. This act will contribute to the realization of our aim of achieving long-lasting peace and progress as we open the year 2022.”

About 47 tons of relief goods transported by military troops and trucks based at the Philippine Army (PA) headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, have arrived in areas in the Visayas and Mindanao that were battered by Typhoon Odette on December 16.

In collaboration with the PA's 802nd Brigade, the relief goods will be distributed to the affected residents of the province.

Meanwhile, the remaining relief goods arrived at the headquarters of the 4th Civil-Military Operations Battalion (4CMOBn) under the 4th Infantry Division in Butuan City on January 3 before they are distributed to affected residents of Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands in eastern Mindanao.

The presidential yacht BRP Ang Pangulo that has been transformed into a floating hospital, has served patients from isolated areas in the Dinagat Islands, one of the provinces devastated by Typhoon Odette in December.

About 233 residents of six communities in the islands of Capaquian and Sibanac, who were treated by the medical team aboard the ship, benefited from the mission, the Philippine Navy said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

"The isolated communities were also given food, clothing, hygiene kits, and activity kits for the children. In the last three days, 373 residents of the province were seen and served aboard ship," the post read.

The BRP Ang Pangulo is part of the 26-ship flotilla deployed by the Navy to help communities battered by “Odette”.

The ship left Manila on December 19, carrying thousands of relief goods and other essential items intended for the affected population in Mindanao.

Navy spokesperson Commander Benjo Negranza earlier said they use their resources to assist disaster-stricken areas to ensure the timely delivery of relief goods to the typhoon victims.

AFP eyes ending Reds in '22, vows to keep May polls peaceful

From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 3, 2022): AFP eyes ending Reds in '22, vows to keep May polls peaceful (By Priam Nepomuceno)

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief-of-staff Gen. Andres Centino (File photo)

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief-of-staff, Gen. Andres Centino, said the military remains focused on ending the communist-terrorist threat this year and vowed to keep the upcoming May elections orderly and peaceful.

In a statement over the weekend, Centino urged military personnel to take on the challenges of the new year, saying that 2021 had its share of difficulties and victories but the organization accomplished much despite limitations and restrictions brought by the pandemic.

"As we move forward onto 2022, I urge every officer, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resource to carry on with the winning momentum into the New Year, and to focus on accomplishing our two most urgent tasks — firstly, in ending the local armed conflict by June 2022; and secondly, in ensuring the conduct of a fair, secure, and peaceful national elections," he said.

He earlier rallied military elite units to intensify their operations to put an end to the decades-long communist insurgency.

He noted that unlike in the past when the campaign against insurgency only reaches a certain point, the intensified operations to end local communist armed conflict has gained steam onward to 2022, also the year President Rodrigo Duterte steps down from office.

In the past year, he said among the military's significant gains include intensified maritime and air surveillance patrol missions in disputed territorial waters, continuous modernization efforts, intensive organizational transformation, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations -- all this done while battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the front-lines.

"As such, as your Chief of Staff, I am truly honored and privileged to lead the men and women of the Armed Forces of the Philippines into the New Year with renewed vigor and optimism. My deepest appreciation to the selfless commitment and admirable sacrifices that our troops are continuously exemplifying day in and day out," Centino said.

Peace process office changes name but retains healing mission

From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 3, 2022): Peace process office changes name but retains healing mission (By Lade Jean Kabagani)

Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. (File photo)

Filipinos can be assured that the pursuit of just and lasting peace will not stop with the renaming of the government’s peace body.

This, after President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed an executive order (EO) reorganizing and renaming the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) to the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU).

“Now as OPAPRU, we shall be maximizing the power of convergence so that we can effectively communicate the message of peace across the widest spectrum of society and rally the support of all sectors behind our collective vision – to heal the wounds caused by armed conflict and foster genuine peace, reconciliation, and unity among our countrymen,”
OPAPRU Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said in a statement on Saturday.

Galvez said the newly reorganized OPAPRU is more eager "to sustain the gains of the national government to pushing forward the comprehensive peace process" over the years.

EO No. 158, signed on December 27, guides the policy framework on peace, reconciliation, and unity with three principles, namely conflict-sensitive and peace-promoting, whole-of-society, and empowering.

“We believe this development bodes well not only for our organization but for the comprehensive Philippine peace process as a whole," said Galvez.

He added the newly reorganized OPAPRU "demonstrates the Duterte administration’s commitment not only to build on and sustain the gains of peace but also to bring reconciliation and unity among our people.”

Over the past four years, Galvez said the armed conflicts in the country were lessened "with no major incident".

"[It is] a testament that those who used violence to promote their selfish interests have learned that nothing can be achieved through the barrel of a gun," he added. “More importantly, they have realized that good things come to those who walk the path of peace.”

The peace adviser also noted that the then-OPAPP has been working with reputable institutions to improve its internal structures, policies, and processes as it gradually prepares its transition into OPAPRU.

Part of its recent accomplishments was the Silver Trailblazer Award for Initiation Stage to the Compliance Stage during its Performance Governance System (PGS) Public Revalida, which has been influential on the progress of its daily operations.

It was also included in the Commission on Audit's list of the most outstanding accounting offices, earning the highest rating "unmodified opinion" for its "fairness" in the presentation of financial statements for the year 2020.

“This award is in recognition of OPAPP’s commitment to applying best accounting practices, as it carries out its crucial mandate of pushing forward the comprehensive Philippine peace process,” Galvez said.

Under EO 158, the administrative structure to operationalize the policy framework on peace, reconciliation, and unity shall be led by the President, who shall provide overall policy direction in the conduct of the comprehensive peace process.

Eastmincom neutralizes 2k NPA rebels in 2021

From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 3, 2022): Eastmincom neutralizes 2k NPA rebels in 2021

Eastmincom Commander Lt. Gen. Greg T. Almerol (File photo)

The Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom) capped off the year 2021 by neutralizing more than 2,071 combatants and supporters of the New People’s Army (NPA), the armed group of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).

In a statement Monday, Lt. Gen. Greg T. Almerol, commander of Eastmincom, said through their intensified focused military operations and the strong support of the communities, local government units, and former rebels and cadres, a total of 70 NPA rebels were killed in combat operations; 147 were apprehended, arrested and captured; 630 capitulated; and 1,224 allies withdrew their support for the CPP-NPA.

He said the government troops have also recovered 690 high-powered and low-powered firearms through combat operations and surrender, and around 97 landmines.

“Our troops have proven their true mettle not only in combat operations but also in times of crisis. Navigating through the pandemic and natural calamities while doing their mandated tasks as protector of the State and the people made our forces even more resilient and ready to come to the Filipino’s aid at all times,” Almerol added.

Around 192 NPA hideouts were also discovered by the troops in several parts of Eastern Mindanao through the aid of concerned citizens and former rebels who shared information with intel value.

Breakthroughs

Among the breakthroughs of Eastmincom since Almerol took the helm on March 8 last year includes the dismantling of eight NPA Guerrilla Fronts (GF) -- 4A, 88, GF North, GF South, 68A, 55, 89, GF Malayag and the Regional Guerrilla Unit, Pulang Bagani Command.

Almerol also cited the major blows to the NPA as the Eastmincom neutralized a total of 22 key personalities.

They are Jorge “Ka Oris” Madlos, commander and spokesperson of the National Operations Command and also of National Democratic Front (NDF) in Mindanao; Arian Jane Ochate Ramos alias Marikit, secretary of GF 55, Sub-Regional Committee 5, Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC); Pedro Arnado, chairperson of Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas - SMRC; Danny Huit alias Bosyong, Secretary of GF North; Khim Agad Mapoy alias Patrick, secretary of GF4A Sub-Regional Committee 3, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC); Ramil Banawan alias Migs/Kim, secretary of GF Malayag; Adelaida Magpatok alias Gwen, former secretary of Far South Mindanao Region (FSMR), National Democratic Front (NDF) consultant, and CPP-NPA-NDF Central Committee Member; Jocy Villaruel Papasin alias Domai, front secretary of Guerrilla Front 18, Sub-Regional Committee 2, SMRC; Billy Berana Jr. alias Borjack, secretary of Guerrilla Front Alip, Regional Operations Command, Regional Sentro de Grabidad, FSMR; and Anna Sandra Reyes alias Kaye, Central Committee member of the CPP and secretary of the Regional City and Town Committee (RCTC) of the SMRC.

"These accomplishments were significant in helping the country move forward with its goal to quell the more than five decades of communist terrorism in the country," Almerol said.

He also urged the Filipinos to continue to be on board to achieve the collective dreams of long-lasting peace and development.

Return to government's fold

Almerol reiterated his call on the remaining NPA members and leaders to consider embracing a peaceful resolution of the armed conflict by accepting the government’s offer through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

He added that their surrender could be part of their New Year's resolution to finally live a peaceful life together with their families.

"We will continue to maximize our efforts in addressing the challenges brought by communist terrorism through combat and non-military means," he assured.

Two Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) bandits have surrendered amid the implementation of the Army’s Mass Base Operations (MBO) and Community Support Programs (CSP) in Barangay Upper Sinumaan in Talipao, Sulu, military officials announced Monday.

Brig. Gen. Eugenio Boquio, 1101st Infantry Brigade commander, received
the two ASG surrenderers, Sibakkal Salahuddin alias Tuan Mawang, 66; and Isbain Sakilan, 49, who yielded on New Year’s Day in Sitio Timpuad, Upper Sinumaan.

Boquio said the two surrenderers revealed during the initial debriefing that they joined the ASG to seek refuge from “rido” (family feud) sometime in 2000.

“They were active combatants for a year before laying low as supporters (for the past two decades),” Boquio said in a statement Monday.

Troops of the Army’s 2nd Special Forces Battalion led by Lt. Col. Benito Ramos Jr. are currently conducting MBO and CSP initiatives in Barangay Upper Sinumaan.

The MBO is a peculiar capability of the Special Forces units. It is conducted in challenging areas to enable a conducive environment favorable to government forces.

The MBO, on the other hand, denies the enemy critical resources and isolates them from mass support, attacking critical vulnerabilities that empower the enemy’s capabilities.

Ramos said that Awang Magking, the village chair of Upper Sinumaan, also played an instrumental role that led to the surrender of the two bandits.

Salahuddin, one of the surrenderers, said they will no longer worry as they can also see and feel the support the soldiers are doing for them.

“They are helping us now in building our houses and livelihood,” he said in a separate statement released Monday.

Salahuddin is also among the beneficiaries of the “Balik-Barangay” Program for displaced families in Barangay Upper Sinumaan.

The program is jointly being implemented by the Talipao Municipal Task Force to End Local Armed Conflict (MTF-ELAC) and military units under Joint Task Force (JTF)-Sulu.

The MTF-ELAC is Sulu’s version of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

“Through the conduct of development efforts, we are looking forward to eventually render the ASG irrelevant in our area of operations,” Boquio said.

“Together with the municipality of Talipao, the 1101st Infantry Brigade will be steadfast in promoting peace and development for our Tausug brothers and sisters,” he added.

Since September last year, 14 ASG bandits have surrendered in Talipao, Sulu.

The Talipao MTF-ELAC is profiling the ASG surrenderers to undergo a reintegration program.

Two full-time New People’s Army (NPA) rebels, including a female combatant, have decided to take the path of peace after voluntarily yielding to Army troopers in Arakan town of this province, a military official here reported Monday.

In a statement, Lt. Colonel Jose C Regonay Jr, commander of the Army’s 72nd Infantry Battalion (IB), said
the two NPA rebels under Guerilla Front 57 of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee voluntarily gave up on January 1, expressing new year hopes for a new life in the mainstream society.

Regonay identified them as “alias Kim,” a 22-year-old female resident of Lumbayan, Barangay Magsaysay, Kitaotao, Bukidnon; and “alias Roy,” 18, of Sitio Bayabas, Barangay Bonacao, San Fernando, Bukidnon.

The two told Army officials that they have witnessed and felt the sincere aspiration and commitment of the government to help them abandon the false NPA ideology and beliefs instilled in their minds by their communist leaders.

Both admitted they surrendered due to physical exhaustion, weakened party leadership, weakening of mass bases supporters, neutralization of high profile NPA cadres, false promises of the NPA leaders, and especially their isolation from their loved ones have led them to decide and pledge their full cooperation and support to the government.

Regonay urged other former rebels to convince their comrades who are still in the mountains fighting for false ideologies to peacefully surrender to the folds of the law and avail of peace initiatives of the government through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

“New year, new hope. Still, your government and the Armed Forces of the Philippines will never get tired from reaching out and delivering the services intended for all of you,” he said.

“Now is the time for all of you to be with your families and loved ones. Rest assured that 72IB is always ready to provide selfless service for the prosperity and peace here in North Cotabato and Bukidnon,” he added.

The Communist Party of the Philippines - NPA is listed as a terrorist organization by the United States, European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the Philippines.

The Anti-Terrorism Council also formally designated the National Democratic Front as a terrorist organization on June 23, 2021, citing it as “an integral and separate part” of the CPP-NPA that was created in April 1973.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – A total of 88 candidate soldiers took their oath on Monday and began their journey as members of the Philippine Army here.

Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, Army’s 6th Infantry Division commander, said the candidate soldiers commenced their six months of rigorous training inside the 6th Division Training School in Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

Uy, also the commander of the Army-led Joint Task Force Central (JTFC), led the ceremonies signaling the start of the candidate soldiers’ training.

"You will be temporarily deprived of the things you enjoyed doing before. This is part of your military training to mold your character,” Uy said.

“You are into difficult training ahead, may the best come out victorious, be strong and you will survive,” he added in the vernacular.

He advised every candidate to listen attentively to their training committee members.

“They (trainers) were carefully selected to train you on military principles that will guide you in performing your duties, don’t be shy, ask questions so you will learn better,” he said.

Uy said the selection board considered the recommendation for the enlistment of 64 males and 9 females from different tribal groups that included 52 Ilonggos, eight Maguindanaons, four Cebuanos, three Tedurays, and two each from the Ilocano, Manobo, and Tagalog clusters.

At least 15 others came from various groups, Uy added.

The candidate soldiers, upon becoming regular members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, are expected to help push forward the peace initiatives that the 6ID has been advocating in Central Mindanao.

The 6ID covers the provinces of Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, and parts of North Cotabato, Lanao del Sur, and Sarangani in mainland Mindanao.
