3ID honors soldiers, Negros officials

Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson was among the officials from Western and Central Visayas, who were honored by the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division during its 47th founding anniversary at Camp Macario Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz, on May 1.

Lacson and Guihulngan City Mayor Carlo Jorge Joan Reyes were cited by the Army for their all-out support to the peace and development efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Negros Island.

The other awardees were the 62nd Infantry Battalion, that was adjudged Best Battalion of 3ID for 2021, 1Lt. Joshua Lodriguito of 62IB – Best Officer of the Year, 1Lt Crisanto Evan Canua of the 11th IB – as Best Company Commander of the Year, 1Lt Karl Maveric Peniero of 61IB – Best Platoon Leader of the Year, and Sgt Philip Marciales, also of 62IB, was Best Platoon Sergeant.

Sgt Chris Gevero of the 11th IB also received an award as Best Squad Leader of the Year, Msg Fidel Delara of 62IB – Best Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration of the Year, MS Valerie Galon of OG7 – Best Civilian Human Resource of the Year, and CAA Hilmer Carato – Best CAFGU Active Auxiliary of the Year. Maj. Cenon Pancito III, 3ID spokesperson, said the Army Governance Pathway Proficiency Status was also conferred on 62IB, while DYEZ Aksyon Radyo anchorman Bryan Morden got the 3ID Command Plaque.
