From the Philippine Information Agency (Mar 12, 2021): Army introduces 'Memoirs of a Teenage Rebel’ docu film to Agusanons (By 29th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army)


KITCHARAO, Agusan del Norte, Mar. 12 -- The 29th Infantry (Matatag Fighters) Battalion (29IB), Philippine Army in cooperation with the city government of Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte recently launched a free film viewing of ‘Memoirs of a Teenage Rebel’ at the Rizal Park Plaza, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

The documentary film is a workpiece of the Philippine Army in cooperation with Robinhood Cariño (RCP) Productions, to expose the schemes committed by the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) and their front organizations.

It covers the story of Ivy Lyn Corpin, a former rebel, who left the armed group in her pursuit of much peaceful life.

Likewise, the unit has also uploaded the said full movie at the 29IB Official Facebook Page for those others who were not able to watch it at the plaza.

According to Lt. Col. Aristotle Antonio, Commanding Officer of 29IB, the movie is perfect to be watched by youth and parents to help them see the reality of deception and recruitment made by the NPAs. "Also, this would awaken the sense of responsibility of every parent to better lookout and properly guide their children,” Lt. Col. Antonio said.


“The unit has been very zealous in its aim to conduct information education campaign (IEC) in the whole area of operation, not just that they may be informed and awaken from its sweetest lies, but also that people may not have any excuse to say that they have been deceived or that they didn’t know that it was NPAs then,” he added.
