ANOTHER judge handling the multiple murder case against the Roxas Night Market blast suspect has issued an arrest order.
Judge Lope Calio of Regional Trial Court Branch 33 issued the arrest warrant against Abu Calid, Abu Hadid Dilangalen, Pendatum Coy Mahurom, Jessy Vicent Original (aka Aisha), Abu Solaiman, Abubakar Zulkifli (aka Abs), Wendel Facturan (aka Muraimin), Zack Haron Lopez, TJ Macabalang (aka Abu Tufael), Ausa Abdullah Mamasapano (aka Abu Hamsa), Musali Mustapha (aka Abu Hurayra ), Jackson Usi (aka Abu Mansur) and a certain Cocoy/Jericho.
The court withheld the issuance of arrest order against Datu Mohammad Abduljabbar Sema (aka Datu Masla Sema and DM), said to be a barangay captain and son of former Cotabato City mayor Muslimin Sema and Rep. Bai Sandra Sema of Maguindanao, due to a pending motion.
Sema’s legal counsel, Aquila Grapilon, filed a motion for judicial determination of probable cause.
President Rodrigo Duterte, during a gathering of this city’s business sector at the Marco Polo hotel last Jan. 14, confirmed the arrest and detention of Sema in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Police have already arrested and placed under their custody seven of the 14 accused. They are Macabalang, Facturan, Mustapha, Usi, Lopez, Mamasapano and Cocoy.
Six accused are still at large. They are Calid, Dilangalen, Mahurom, Original, Solaiman, and Zulkifli.
Judge Melinda Alconcel-Dayanghirang of RTC Branch 54 also issued the arrest order against the same set of accused, including Sema, in the connection with the separate terrorism case.
The two charges were separately filed in court: Calio handles the multiple murder with frustrated murder case while Dayanghirang handles the terrorism case in violation of Republic Act 9374 (Human Security Act) case.
The prosecution office relied on the extra-judicial confessions of accused Usi and Mamasapano who claimed they were behind the Roxas Night Market blast that killed 15 and injured 69 others.
