From the Manila Times (Jul 20): Kidnapped Japanese recovered in Cotabato

Authorities recovered Japanese Yashuhiro Nakamura, who was allegedly kidnapped in Cotabato.

Chief Supt. Noel delos Reyes, director of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Police, said the Japanese was recovered by the Anti-Kidnapping Task Force in a village in Guindulungan town on July 3.

Col. Dickson Hermoso, spokesperson of the 6th Infantry Division, said they too did not have any information about the reported kidnapping.

Japanese Consul in Davao City Koichi Ibara presented Nakamura to Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in a Davao City hotel last week.
