Candon City, Ilocos Sur – A suspected New People’s Army (NPA) leader was arrested by lawmen in an entrapment operation recently at Sitio Tabangaoen, Barangay Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Superintendent Davy Vicente Limmong, spokesman of the Cordillera Region police, said the NPA leader, Corsio Ganima Ebeng, is carrying P1.8 million on his head as reward for his capture.
“The captured NPA leader had been identified as the suspected leader of the armed NPA’s group responsible in the series of ambuscade incidents in Mountain Province in the past two years that resulted to the death of several policemen,” Limmong said.
