Five people were hurt after three unidentified men hurled a hand grenade at the United Church of Christ Philippines (UCCP) Church in Barangay Ugaligan, Carmen town,
Capt. Antonio Bulao, 602nd Infantry Brigade civil-military operations officer, said the incident took place around 8:20 p.m.
He said that the suspects, who were aboard two motorcycles, hurled the grenade at the people-packed church before fleeing at the direction of Kabacan town.
Hurt in the issuing blast were Amy Tropa, 56; Chabilita Tropa, 12; Ading Tropa, 16; Jhonloyd Tropa, 6; and Marielle Montayer, 16.
All the victims were immediately brought to
Bulao said that authorities are still determining the motive of the attack.
