DND plans to buy 2 more C-130

From the Philippine News Agency (Nov 24): DND plans to buy 2 more C-130

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Voltaire Gazmin has announced that plans are afoot to acquire two more Lockheed C-130 "Hercules" cargo planes for the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

He added that this acquisition is part of the DND efforts to upgrade and make the PAF more capable in its various missions which includes disaster relief.

The C-130s is now the aerial work horse of the government in its ongoing relief missions in the "Yolanda" battered provinces of the Visayas Region.

The PAF currently operates three C-130s in its fleet.
