Commodore Reginald Rapanan, Deputy Commander of AFP Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) visited the Western Mindanao Command on Friday afternoon, December 3, 2021. The command rendered foyer honors to the distinguished visitor during his arrival at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city at 2 p.m. He was then received by Col. Elmer Suderio, Chief of the Unified Command Staff at the Laong Laan Hall of the command.

Commodore Rapanan will oversee the conduct of Military Simulation Operations Training that will be participated in by IT officers and non-commissioned officers of WestMinCom and other OPCON units. Military simulation is a simulation in which theories of warfare can be tested and refined using new technologies.

The AFP Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) is the AFP unit that provides joint professional military education and training to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and select professionals. It also develops doctrines in order to contribute to the joint force development of the AFP. Its principal clients are the military officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources.
