FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — Twenty-five (25) Mass Supporters of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) have withdrawn their support from the terrorist organization during a simple ceremony facilitated by the Community Support Program (CSP) team of 24th Infantry (WILDCAT) Battalion, Philippine Army in Brgy. Mataragan, Malibcong, Abra on December 04, 2021.

Honorable Regino Sidayyao, Malibcong Mayor, its Municipal Officials, and other head of agencies attended the event and witnessed the Oath of Allegiance of the 25 CTG Mass Supporters.

1Lt Jake Leonardo R. Loniego, 24IB CMO Officer and CSP team leader 2Lt Daryl Brix R. Colita facilitated the withdrawal of support of the 25 personalities to the CTG.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army, Brigadier General Andrew D. Costelo PA lauded the efforts of the CSP team who has been working hand-in-hand together with the MTF-ELCAC of Malibcong to eradicate the influence of the CTG in the community by strengthening its information campaign in the grassroots.

“We have expected the rapid withdrawal of support of these CTG’s mass supporters as we gain momentum in our campaign to end the communist insurgency, particularly in Abra. We will maintain our efforts to attain our mission and it is the sustainment of peace and development in Northern Luzon,” said BGen Costelo.
