From the Journal Online (Nov 2, 2019): 9 NPA rebs, 46 others arrested
FIFTY- five persons including nine hardcore members of New Peoples’ Army (NPA) were arrested and several firearms and ammunition were recovered when combined elements of police and military raided three barangays in Bacolod City the other day.
This was confirmed yesterday by Captain Cenon C. Pancito, spokesman of Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division ( ID).
Pancito identified those considered high value individuals of the NPA as John Milton Lozande, Noli Lazeran Rosales, Proceso Quiatchon, Albert Delacerna, Mary Ann Krueger alias Mary Anne Dela Concepcion, Romulo Buto-on, Amatlin Chin-Chin Bito-on, Danilo Tabura and Roberto Lachica.
Pancito said the troops conducted simultaneous implementation of search warrants for violation of RA 10591 or Comprehensive Forearms and Ammunition Regulation Law issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Barangays 33, Bata and Taculing all in Bacolod City at around 5:45 p.m. on October 31,2019.
The operation resulted in the recovery of 32 assorted firearms, 3 fragmentation grenade, 2 ammunition of 40MM Grenade Launcher and assorted live ammunition.
Pancito said the operation also resulted in the accidental arrest of 40 identified members of Komiteng Rehiyon-Negros, Cebu, Bohol and Siquijor (KR-NCBS) and 15 newly recruited individuals, 14 of them minors coming from different areas of Negros Occidental who are undergoing combat-related training and indoctrination .
The minors were turned over to the custody of the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSDWO).
