CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Two former New People’s Army (NPA) rebels and 41 other members of leftist groups voluntarily surrendered to Pandi Municipal Police Station on Saturday and Sunday.

Col. Chito Bersaluna, provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office,
identified the two former rebels as alias "Ka Ehco", 22, a former NPA member operating in Tarlac and Zambales, and resident of Barangay Mapulang Lupa, Pandi town; and one alias "Aris".

Bersaluna said the other surrenderers included three members of the Narciso Antaso Aramil Command (NAAC), two members of Eduardo Dagle Command, one of Sosyalistang Partido ng Paggawa (SPP), and another of Komiteng Larangang Gerilya Tarlac Zambales (KLG TarZam).

He said that the 34 other surrenderers were former officers and members of Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (KADAMAY) chapters in Pandi, Guiguinto and Balagtas towns.


"They voluntarily surrendered themselves to Pandi Municipal Police Station with no firearms and explosives,” Bersaluna said.

The surrenderers will receive livelihood assistance, skills training, and other interventions from the government to help them become productive citizens.
