FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City (DWDD) - The Philippine Army (PA) and the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) continues its partnership in constructing the First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR)’s facilities at Camp Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan.
Scout Ranger troops, as well as their dependents, will primarily benefit in the projects that include the finishing of 500 housing units and the construction of a training pool.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto and HUDCC Chairperson Sec. Eduardo D. Del Rosario signified the success as well as the beginning of the projects in a turnover and groundbreaking ceremony.
“These events certainly reflect positive changes throughout the organization, not only to the quality of professionalization of our ranks but also to the standards of living for our soldiers,” addressed Alberto.
Last December 2018, President Rodrigo Roa Duerte already awarded the first batch of 500 units that now houses the families of the Scout Rangers. The other 500 houses turned over today are anticipated to be finished before the year ends. On the other hand, the 14-feet training pool will enhance the warfighting capabilities of the Rangers as well as provide a recreation area for the troops and their families.
“These new facilities will greatly boost the morale of not just our uniformed personnel but also their families. We look forward to more collaborative ventures and continuous partnership between the PA and HUDCC for the continuous development of our Armed Forces,” added Alberto. PA / MCAG / Photo credit OACPA
