Tupi, South Cotabato – Troops from 27th Infantry Battalion discovered an M60, Bulldog Machine Gun and ammunition at Mount Marbao, Brgy. Kematu, Tboli, South Cotabato on August 11, 2019.
Troops responded to the reports from concerned populace. Tipping off the location of said firearms and CPP-NPA Terrorists plan to attack and burn the Banana Plantation using the discovered firearns.
It can be recalled last August 9, three NPA members surrendered in this unit bringing along with them their firearms. These surrenderers belong to the Platoon Brigol, Guerilla Front Musa, Far South Mindanao Region.
“This Battalion condemns the plan attrocities of these CPP-NPA Terrorists. Communities and business establishment should be spared from any attack. We appreciate the unending support of the community in tipping off the presence of the Communist Terrorist Group. Through these efforts we endeavor to achieve peace and development in the community.” 27IB Commander, Ltc Jones Otida said.
