TACLOBAN CITY –– A member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) was wounded when alleged members of the New People’s Army attacked their detachment in Las Navas town, Northern Samar on Sunday, August 11.

Reports reaching the regional police headquarters in Palo, Leyte indicated that Rolando Obiado, Sr. was hit on his foot during the 9:30 p.m. attack.

The Cafgu members managed to fight back which resulted to a five-minute firefight.

The rebels, who were positioned 150 meters away from the detachment, fled.
