Crame names Gapas NegOr police director

From the Visayan Daily Star (Aug 12, 2019): Crame names Gapas NegOr police director

Negros Oriental has a new provincial police director.

Camp Crame has designated Col. Rizalito Guerrero Gapas as the new officer-in-charge of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office effective Aug. 9.

Gapas used to be the police chief of Pasay City.

He replaced Col. Angelito Dumangeng, who had served as officer-in-charge of NORPPO for more than a week, following the relief of Col. Raul Tacaca over the spate of killings in Negros Oriental.

The change of the NORPPO top leadership was contained General Orders Number 753 issued by the Police Regional Office 7, signed by Col. Julius Cesar Gornez, officer-in-charge of its Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, by authority of Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas, based also on the memorandum from the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management at Camp Crame.

Gapas is joining Tacaca and Col. Edwin Portento, who are all of whom are graduates of the Philippine Military Academy, in serving as provincial police director of Negros Oriental.
