From the Philippine Information Agency (Jul 17, 2019): Region 7 cops to undergo ISO training at 3ID training school
CAMP PERALTA, Jamindan, Capiz -- The 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army led by MGen. Dinoh Dolina welcomed the 97 police personnel from Police Regional Office 7 who will undergo Philippine National Police (PNP) Internal Security Operations (PISO) training at 3ID Training School (3DTS), here.
They were also warmly welcomed by 3ID officers and enlisted personnel in an opening ceremony held at the 3ID grandstand, July 16, 2019, which was attended by Police Regional Office 7 director Brigadier General Debold Sinas.
The said training is part of the collaborative efforts of the Army and PNP in implementing internal security operations through the expanded cross- trained training of more or less 30 to 45 days.
It is designed to train and equip police personnel with right attitude, knowledge, skills, and capability on public safety in order to secure the people against criminality, violence, terrorism and threats of insurgency.
Dolina stressed that “as partner agency in securing the people against any form of threat and violence, sharing of knowledge between the Army and PNP is necessary for us to come up with an effective and resilient inter-agency effort in addressing and resolving peace and security concerns in the region.”
It can be recalled that the 3DTS also catered the PNP Basic Internal Security Course (BISOC), where 317 police personnel from Police Regional Office 6 completed the course last May 03, 2019.
Said PNP personnel were trained by 25 Community Support Program (CSP) instructors from 3ID. (JBG/Cpt. Cenon Pancito III/3ID-DPAO)
