PNP NorMin gets star rank anew

From the Philippine Information Agency (Oct 25): PNP NorMin gets star rank anew

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City -- Camp Alagar's Deputy Regional Director for Administration formally took his oath as Police Chief Superintendent, equivalent to Brigadier General in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), October 24 before the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, PDGen Ronald Dela Rosa at Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The promotion order took effect July 20 pursuant to National Headquarters (NHQ)-PNP General Orders No. 2715 approved by President Rodrigo Duterte and signed by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael Sueno.

"The oath-taking took some time due to the very hectic schedule of the president and the PNP chief.

Nevertheless, the promotion was already in effect since July 20," Northern Mindanao police regional spokesperson, PSupt Surki Sereñas said.

PCSupt Danilo Maligalig is a member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Maharlika" Class '84 and was formerly assigned with Highway Patrol Group stationed in Cagayan de Oro City in 2001.

He was the Deputy Director for Administration of Maritime Group prior to his assignment in Camp Alagar.

"We take pride and honor to have another deserving senior officer being promoted to star rank. This inspires us to work harder," PSupt Sereñas said.
