The University of St. La Salle (USLS) here, through its
Center for Negros Development (CND), has partnered with the Philippine Army’s
(PA) 303rd Infantry Brigade for the implementation of peace, leadership and
youth formation, and environmental projects.
USLS vice chancellor Hector Gloria and 303rd IB Brigade
commander Col. Francisco Delfin recently signed a memorandum of understanding
(MOU) in the presence of the Lasallian youth during their leadership module for
the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
During the event, Delfin shared to the students his journey
as a youth leader and the work they do in the Army.
USLS, in a statement, said the collaboration targets to
encourage more Negrense youth to take active roles in the community and lead Negros with much care for the environment, peace and
development as well as love for the country and fellow Filipinos.
The partnership will start with the Youth Leadership Summit
that will be held next month to be participated by youth leaders from various
villages.
