From the Philippine News Agency (Feb 2): Army soldiers find 3 IEDs in Sorsogon village

CAMP ELIAS ANGELES, Pili, Camarines Sur –- Combined operatives of the 903rd Infantry Brigade and 31st Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army found three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at about 9:15 a.m. Sunday in Sitio Bagong Barrio, Sta. Lourdes village in Barcelona, Sorsogon.

Capt. Mardjorie Paimela P. Panesa, PA’s 9th Infantry Division spokesperson, said a report reaching the headquarters of the division here said a team of soldiers led by 2Lt. Mike Andro Fragio and 2Lt. Niko Pendejito was conducting a security operation when the government troopers found the explosives.

Col. Cesar Idio, 903rd Infantry Brigade commander, immediately sent another team of soldiers to the area to provide security and scour the place for possible explosives.
