The 63rd Infantry (Innovator) Battalion of the Philippine Army joined the school health month celebration of Coroconog Elementary School at San Roque, Northern Samar. The activity centered on “Global Hand Washing Day,” anchored on the theme “Global Hand Washing Day is not just a day: A Challenge to Improve Hygiene Towards a Healthy Body and Mind....” Captain Josephus Emar Rempillo, public affairs officer of the 63IB, said apart from the program other activities that were conducted include demonstration/film showing on hand washing and tooth brushing, presentation of hand washing facility, health education to the parents, health inspection and lectures on health and sanitation to the pupils. A medical, dental mission and a free haircut were also held, serving 160 pupils. For its share during the event, the 63rd IB and 803rd Brigade distributed 163 pairs of slippers to pupils of Coroconog Elementary School through a “Tsinelas, Para sa Mga Walang Tsinelas Program” of the unit. Also upholding the aspiration of “Winning the Peace” as its current thrust, the Philippine Army, specially the 803rd Brigade, continuously supports and extends its efforts and services in partnership with all stakeholders to achieve peace and development in the province in particular....
