Three Former CPP-NPA Rebels Receive P220K Financial Assistance From DILG-LDN
Three (3) former rebels (FRs) of Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) New People's Army (NPA) terrorists received financial assistance of a total of P 220,000.00 through the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) 10-Lanao del Norte last March 15, 2022, at the Virtual Room of Old Capitol Building, Pigcarangan Tubod.
This program of the DILG is under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) where two (2) of the FRs, alias "Dot-Dot" and "Harold", received Immediate and Livelihood Assistance worth P 65,00.00 each, and the other, alias "Alas", was granted his Firearms Remuneration worth P 90,00.00 upon a thorough examination and cost evaluation of the PNP.
"The Provincial Government headed by Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo expressed sincere gratitude to DILG, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Army (PA) for the active implementation of the ECLIP in our province. I would also like to appreciate these three former rebels in entrusting their lives to the Government," Hon. Achmad Taha, head of the Peace and Order Committee of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, said during his welcome message.
Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao, CESO V, shared that "The ECLIP is seen to play a pivotal role in the attainment of the desire of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the aspiration of the Filipino people to end the local communist armed conflict that has caused so much sufferings."
