CAMP MELCHOR F DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – Four high-ranking personalities of Anakpawis abandoned the terrorist front organization on October 20, 2022 in the province of Cagayan.

The four are identified as alias Exto, 63 years old, Chairman, resident of Manalo, Amulung; alias Jayper, 49 years old, Organizer/Coordinator in Amulung town; alias Jaguar, 54 years old, Former Chairman, resident of Barangay Dafunganay, Amulung; and alias Lyka, 55 years old, Treasurer, Party member and was designated as part of the Organizing Department of the terrorist group. They all belong to Anakpawis-Cagayan Chapter.

Through the conducted series of Retooled Community Support Program in their respective barangays, the four realized that they were deceived and were just used to propagate false ideologies of the terrorist group in order to agitate the populace to turn against the government.

Major General Laurence E Mina, Commander of 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army thanked the former high-ranking Anakpawis personalities for coming out. “This is a welcome development on our effort to enlighten our people of the deception activities of the CTG. We earned additional partners to attest to the sincerity of the government in its determination to build a peaceful and progressive community.”
