BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur-Camp Jaime N Ferrer Sr Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City (Stn) – Another six (6) New People’s Army of the Weakened Guerilla Front 14, North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (WGF14, NEMRC) voluntarily surrender at Headquarters, 75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion, today at 08:30 in the morning, September 23, 2019.

The said surrenderees were warmly welcomed by the Marauder Troopers with a smile on their faces, as the troops were all grateful that these former rebels were now back to the folds of the law.

The surrenderees were identified as AKA Bong, AKA Pat, AKA Adan, AKA Shiela, AKA Bugoy and AKA Galo all of WGF14, NEMRC.
The former rebels brought with them the following war materials: one (1) M4 Carbine, two (2) cal.45 pistol, one (1) M16A1 rifle (Elisco), one (1) M653 assault rifle, four (4) rifle grenade, eight (8) 40mm high-explosive (HE) ammunition, eleven (11) steel short magazine, one (1) plastic short magazine, one hundred five (105) live 5.56mm live ammunition, twenty-nine (29) rounds cal.45 and three (3) bandolier. They voluntarily surrendered to 75IB under the direct supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Warren C Munda, Commanding Officer.


Moreover, AKA Bugoy was one of those that have been deceived by the CNTs with their futile ideology. “Kapoy sigeg tago ug dagan palayo sa militar. Gusto namo nga manginabuhi nga malinawon kauban sa matag usa namo ka pamilya.” AKA Bugoy said. Also, the surrenderees will be enrolled to the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) from the government, wherein they will receive immediate cash assistance, reintegration and livelihood assistance as well as remuneration for the surrendered firearms and weapons.

Further, Lt. Col. Warren C Munda, Commanding Officer of 75IB said, “Sooner or later we’ll be able to dismantle the WGF14 we have been confronting in our area of responsibility. We have the local government and the people in the community who support us throughout the campaign that lead us to the accomplishment of our mission and foster inclusive and sustainable Peace and Development.” Lt. Col. Munda ended.
