CAMP O’DONNELL, Tarlac -- Philippine Army cited Monday the significant milestones of outgoing commander Major General Roy Devesa’s leadership in Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
In his speech during the Change of Command Ceremony, Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Macairog Alberto lauded TRADOC for delivering the highest standards of training and achieving set targets with consistency under Devesa’s leadership.
“We express our deepest appreciation to the outgoing Commander Devesa for successfully implementing key actions such as the organizational restructuring into six major centers and the enactment of the Army-wide Review and Revision of existing curricula and training programs,” Alberto said.
Aside from these, Devesa contributed to the approval of several manuals related to the enhancement of war-fighting capabilities of the Army and conceptualization of Force Structure Transformation to achieve their 2028 vision.
“Your leadership and guidance have left an unforgettable mark that will continue to inspire and motivate the TRADOC team to do their best in the years to come,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Alberto expressed his confidence to the extensive experience of the newly-installed TRADOC Commander Major General Cornelio Valencia Jr.
“I am optimistic that you will apply your strategic mindset towards enabling an even more dynamic TRADOC as well as upholding the command’s continuing legacy of providing the highest standard of training and doctrine development for the Philippine Army,” he stressed.
The commanding general likewise stated his all-out support to TRADOC in providing quality programs, activities and policies for the advancement of the Army as a force-provider.
“The Philippine Army is always here to support TRADOC as it continues to develop training strategies and modules to enhance the war-fighting capabilities of our soldiers,” he said.
“Together, let us remain steadfast and resolute in our determination to fulfill our vision of becoming a world-class Army that is a source of pride for the Filipino people,” he said. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
