Army troopers from units designated in the hinterlands of Maguindanao continue to deliver good services to the people in the far flung areas.
The 603rd Brigade and the 6th Infantry Battalion continuously participates in the outreach programs of the local government units and non-government organizations in their area of operation.
The team together with STI Cotabato led by School President Jefferson Bacurnay, ABS-CBN South Central, Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic Higher and Technical Education, and McDonalds Cotabato facilitated in the gift giving activity held at S. Midal Elementary School in Sitio Pencian, Barangay Tinungkaan, Upi, Maguindanao.
The activity was done purposely to provide assistance to the children from the mountainous areas where basic services are non-existent.
A total of 152 pupils received bags with school supplies, malong, and slippers. Toys were also given to the kindergarten and grades 1 to 3 pupils.
McDonalds Cotabato provided food packs and presented their mascots to provide entertainment to the children.
Meanwhile, 350 sets of dental kits and 350 pairs of slippers were distributed to the students of Kibleg Elementary School in Upi, Maguindanao.
44 pupils had their haircut while both the students and parents were provided with lectures on Teenage Pregnancy and Good Parenting.
Said gift-giving was part of the anniversary activities of Kibleg Elementary School.
“The smile we put on people’s faces is what really matters. Their happiness gives us a sense of fulfillment,” said Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana, Commander of the Western Mindanao Command.
