LRTA DEPOT, Pasig (DWDD) – Uniformed personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines can now take the Light Rail Transit 2 (Purple Line) for Free!

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between LRTA Administrator Reynaldo Berroya and MGen Ronnie S Evangelista, Commander, Civil Relations Service, AFP at the LRTA Deepot in Pasig.

According to Adminitrator Berroya, the LRTA administration decided to give our soldiers free access to one of Metro Manila’s Mass Transit System as a sign of respect for the dedication and heroism of our soldiers, especially in the liberation of Marawi.

On the part of the AFP, MGen Evangelista extended the organizations heartfelt appreciation of the LRTA’s gesture. It is a great honor for our men and women in uniform that their efforts and sacrifice is being appreciated from different sectors.

It can be recalled that the LRT administration has initially offered Free rides to all uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police in support of their anti-crime and security operations of various infrastructures and facilities. AES/MCAG/Photos by Reyanaldo Pineda
