NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Roxas Blvd, Manila (DWDD) – The Philippine Navy will conducting a Send-Off Ceremony for BRP Andres Bonifacio (FF17) that will be participating in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Sultanate of Brunei and to attend the MALPHI LAUT 20-17 in Malaysia.
The event is slated on September 29, 2017, Friday at 10 o’clock in the morning at Pier 13, South Harbor, Manila.
The ship and its crew will depart for Maura, Brunei Darussalam for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Sultanate of Brunei and subsequent participation in the annual Maritime Training Activity (MTA) MALPHI LAUT 20-17 at Kuantan Naval Base, Malaysia.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Adm. Allan Ferdinand V. Cusi, will preside over the ceremony for more or less 200 members of the Philippine Navy contingent to the abovementioned events.
MTA MALPHI LAUT is an annual bilateral exercise between PN and Royal Malaysian Navy that aims to enhance inter-operability, working relationship and camaraderie through the conduct of coordinated maritime patrol training focusing on common maritime threats and other illegal maritime activities in both countries.
