CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Philippine and US Armed Forces are now planning on conduct of the next joint exercises.

According to Defense Secetary Delfin Lorenzana, the top leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is now in Hawaii, including AFP Chief of Staff Gen Eduardo Ano, to meet with their counterparts to plan for next years’ various joint military exercises.

Lorenzana added that the meeting has the blessing of President and AFP Commander in Chief Rodrigo Rodrigo.

It can be recalled that President Duterte previously threatened to cancel all joint exercises between the Philippines and the United States of America, including Balikatan, after the chief executive did not take lightly the criticism made by the Obama administration on the War on Drugs Campaign by the administration.
