The Philippine Coast Guard has conducted the two-day 10th Sea-Borne Maritime Law Enforcement (MARLEN) Training Exercise in the vicinity waters of Manila Bay on November 16 and 17.

The tringing exercise was conducted with four officers from the Japan Coast Guard together with the Japan International Cooperation Agency representatives, the Coast Guard said.

“The exercise aims is to further develop the skills of personnel aboard PCG floating assets in addressing illegal fishing activities conducted by foreign vessel by obtaining the essential pieces of evidence in proving a crime and to enhance communication coordination,” Coast Guard said.
