DND allocates PHP256.3-M for coast watch req'ts in northern Luzon

From the Philippine News Agency (Nov 17): DND allocates PHP256.3-M for coast watch req'ts in northern Luzon

The Department of National Defense (DND) has allocated PHP256.36 million for the supply and delivery of "coast watch system requirements" needed to enhance the maritime capability in northern Luzon.

This will equip three stations and one center in the region. Money for the project will be sourced from the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Act Trust Fund.

The project will be undertaken through alternative mode of procurement which is Limited Source Bidding having satisfied the conditions as stated in Section 49 of the Revised Rules and Regulations of RA 9184 (Government Procurement Reform Act), DND Special Bids and Awards Committee chair Assistant Secretary Teodoro Cirilo Torralba III said.

Pre-selected companies for this contract include Datatrail Corp/Elbit Sys Ltd, Indra, Baybridge Service (Far East), Pronet, Elta Systems Ltd, HITT (Scan Marine, Inc), Ltd One Commerce Int'l Corp (Signalis Rep).
