From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 30): Suspected NPAs carjack 2 passenger vans in Agusan del Sur

Two passenger vans here hired for a family reunion were carjacked by suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels while on their way to Bayugan City on Saturday.... According to the testimonies of the two drivers, the carjackers brought the two passenger vans in Barangay Hamogaway likely towards a rough road leading to Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte.... Valmoria also asked the NPA leadership to stop harassing civilians, including drivers who were only having a meager income to feed their families. Last week, a passenger van was also carjacked by suspected NPA rebels in Agusan del Sur which was used in disarming security guard of a gold buying station in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
