From the Philippine Star (Oct 30): Murad: MILF, MNLF can work together for peace in Mindanao
.... Al-Haj Murad, who assumed chairmanship of the MILF after Salamat’s demise, said reuniting the two fronts is no longer viable due to each other’s tactical and organizational statures..... Murad, however, said they are not opposed to the “quadripartite” meeting with the OIC, the MNLF, and the Aquino administration to discuss cooperation in pushing forward the Mindanao peace process and resolving concerns and speculations regarding the newly-crafted Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro. Murad announced over the weekend in Camp Darapanan, the MILF’s bastion in Maguindanao’s Sultan Kudarat town, that while it is no longer possible for the two fronts to reunite, both sides can help each other workout the attainment of peace and development in Mindanao’s Moro communities....
