Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City- January 19, 2021Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas, the newly-promoted Commander of the Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi visited the Western Mindanao Command at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
Brig. Gen. Rojas was welcomed with company-sized military honors rendered by the officers, enlisted personnel, and Civilian Human Resources at the Parade Ground and was subsequently received by WestMinCom Commander Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr. and the command staff at the Bautista Lounge of the command.
During the talks, Brig. Gen. Rojas expressed his gratitude to Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. for the latter’s continued guidance and support. He also vowed to double his efforts to sustain the peace and welcome development in the province of Tawi-Tawi.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. lauded Brig. Gen. Rojas for the numerous accomplishments of the Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi under his leadership particularly in the campaign against the proliferation of loose firearms and the neutralization of lawless elements.
Also, Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. congratulated the newly-promoted general for the well-deserved promotion.
Brig. Gen. Rojas is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkislahi” Class of 1990.
