BALER, Aurora-The Philippine Army’s 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion assist the local government unit of San Luis, Department of Social Welfare and Development office and the office of Aurora Representative Rommel Rico T. Angara in the distribution of aid to 1,640 families in the coastal barangays of San Luis, Aurora for 3-days (December 9-11, 2020).

In a statement released on Saturday, Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P Rubio Philippine Army, commander of 91st IB said that the troops assisted the government troops in the hauling and distribution of 1,640 relief packs to the beneficiaries.

Each relief pack from LGU contains rice, canned goods and noodles; DSWD-family kit hygiene kit and sleeping kit; San Luis LGU food packs-rice, canned goods and noodles; and the office of the Congressman-rice, canned goods, noodles and calendars.

LtCol Rubio said that the relief packs distribution started last Wednesday and ended Friday afternoon to four coastal barangays in the town of San Luis.

The government troops had distributed foods and non-foods item to 425 families in Barangays of Dimanayat, 520 families in Dikapinisan, 365 families in Dibayabay and 330 families in Dibut.

“We are always in full support to LGUs in the delivery of basic services especially in the far-flung areas. This is one way of reaching out the local residents by bringing the government closer to the people. Your Philippine Army will continue to serve the people and committed in the conduct of relief operations in this province. We will continue to assist providing manpower, mobility and equipment to help our people,” he said.
