The Philippine Army and Landers Superstore distributed food packs to medical personnel and an Army group manning a checkpoint Sunday.

In a statement Monday, Army spokesperson, Col. Ramon Zagala said the food packs were distributed to the health workers in eight hospitals in Metro Manila -- Manila Doctors Hospital, Philippine General Hospital, Quezon City General Hospital, Veterans Memorial Medical Center, Asian Hospital, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, Mother Regina Family Hospital, Army General Hospital and to the Army troops deployed for checkpoint operations at Barangay Talipapa, Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City.

The food items came from Landers pick-up stores located in Otis, Balintawak, and Alabang.

Zagala said the food packs would help keep in top shape medical personnel and troops in the frontlines in containing the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
