IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon --The Philippine Army is continuously pacing back on its mandate on security assistance as the Local Government Unit of Impasugong, Bukidnon continues delivery of services during the Magbuliga Kuy at Barangay La Fortuna, October 1.
Troops of 8th Infantry (Dependable) Battalion, Philippine Army conducted security assistance to ensure peaceful celebration of the "102nd Araw ng La Fortuna".
During the celebration, different agencies and departments of the barangay joined the parade followed by the Singampo-a ritual conducted to welcome visitors.
Students also showcased their talents during their dance presentations. The Impasugong LGU also conducted medical check-ups and other services to the local community.
The activity was conducted in relation to the barangay's celebration of its founding anniversary.
"We can see that EO 70 is now being religiously implemented in some of our areas. Little by little, we can guarantee that we can see genuine change and progress," Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Illana, commanding officers of the 8IB, said in his statement. (8IB)
