From Politiko Mindanao (Oct 4, 2019): 3 soldiers dead, one hurt in Agusan del Sur road collision

Three soldiers died while another was injured in the collision of two vehicles in Agusan del Sur, military said.

Eastern Mindanao Command said the accident took place along the national highway in Barangay New Leyte in Prosperidad Tuesday, October 1.

The victims riding a Toyota Fortuner, which collided with a Starex Van, were all members of the Army’s 3rd Special Forces Battalion.

Those who died were identified as Corporal Eldryn Mendoza, driver of the Toyota Fortuner, 2nd Lieutenant Mary Joy Salentes and Private First Class Arden Sumpio. Injured was 1st Lieutenant Robert Ching.
