CAMP PERALTA, Jamindan, Capiz – Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas seek support from Army in Central and Western Visayas to harmonize peace and security efforts in the region.

During his visit at Camp Peralta on Monday, Dino emphasized the significance of implementing the Executive Order 70 (EO 70) which focuses on institutionalizing the Whole-of –Nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustatinable peace and security, as well as the role of the government Armed Forces to end insurgency.

The Whole-of-Nation approach addresses the root causes of armed conflicts including insurgencies, internal disturbances and tensions by prioritizing and integrating the delivery of basic services, facilitates societal inclusivity, and ensuring participatiuon of all sectors of the comnmunity in the pursuit of the country’s peace agenda.

In his speech, Dino expressed Presiodent Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s gratitude to the troops for their continued service to the country. “Keep it up and continue to be a source of national pride of our Filipino nation”. He also congratulated Major General Dinoh Dolina, ommander, 3ID for the successful apprehension of the CPP-NPA Terrorist high-ranking leader Frank Fernandez.

Further, Dino commended MGen Dolina for the establishment of the new military barracks for 3ID troopers, and for considering the building of additional barracks that can accommodate the visiting family of the soldiers. The newly-constructed barracks was also uinaugurated by
Asec Dino.
