From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 26): 7 ranking AFP officers promoted to next higher ranks

Seven generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were promoted to their next higher ranks during simple ceremonies at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City Monday afternoon.

President Benigno S. Aquino III approved the ad interim appointment of the seven AFP officers.

AFP chief-of-staff Gen. Hernando DCA Iriberri presided over their donning of ranks at the Hall of Flags, General Headquarters Building in Camp Aguinaldo at 3:30 p.m.

Leading the list was Major Gen. Andre M. Costales Jr. who received his new rank after assuming the position of AFP deputy chief-of-staff for education and training (J-8) of AFP last Sept. 2. Seven generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were promoted to their next higher rank during simple ceremonies at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City Monday afternoon.

Also among those promoted to major general rank are , AFP deputy chief-of-staff for plans(J-5) Major Gen. Guillermo A. Molina Jr.; and Major Gen. Rodolfo D. Santiago, Command and General Staff College (CGSC) head.

The list also included former Colonels who are now brigadier generals.

These are Archimedes H. Viaje (Corps Professor AFP); Arleen N. Gorreon (CGSC assistant commandant); Diosdado G. Respecio Communications, Electronics and Information Systems Service AFP commander); and Rafael A. Sera Jose (The Quartermaster General AFP).​
