DND chief lauds Northern Luzon Command for a job well done

From the Philippine News Agency (Apr 2): DND chief lauds Northern Luzon Command for a job well done

As the Northern Luzon Command celebrated its 27th founding anniversary on Tuesday, Department of National Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin commended all its officers and enlisted personnel "for a job well done" in protecting the area against all forms of threats.

"I must commend (Lt. Gen. Gregorio Pio) Catapang for the sustained high standards of discipline, training and performance of the officers, men and women of the Northern Luzon Command," Gazmin said in his anniversary message.

He added that these traits are ideal of Filipino troops and must be emulated by other commands and units in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

"As I have known it to be, I have utmost confidence in the professional capabilities of (the) Northern Luzon Command. Its leadership dynamic, as it should be, has adhered to the lofty stands in marching its personnel to the path of genuine service for our nation and countrymen," Gazmin stressed.

The DND chief added that the Northern Luzon Command has managed efficient and effective deployment of its forces in various critical operations in its vast areas of responsibility.

"This is especially true in the precarious job of neutralizing the enemies of the state and all forms of lawlessness under its operational jurisdiction," Gazmin said.
