THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Zamboanga del Norte provincial government have released P116,000 in financial assistance through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip) to a former New People’s Army (NPA) rebel.
E-Clip provides support to former rebels, now called “Friends Rescued,” who have surrendered and preparation for their reintegration into mainstream society.
The 44IB said the E-Clip is just one of the many government initiatives to show their commitment to embracing people who are willing to surrender, move forward with a better future for their family and save more young generations to become better leaders of our country.
The 44IB said that Dongallo is living proof that there is still a better life after surrendering and there are better hopes for their family after returning to mainstream society.
The 44IB encourages more members of NPA to surrender peacefully and become peace advocates in society.
“It is never too late to choose a better life, and choose the safety and future of your family,” the 44IB said.
It said that the government is committed to a holistic approach to assisting the NPA surrenderers to fully reintegrate into society. (SunStar Zamboanga)
