FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army Major General Andrew D Costelo PA welcomed the support of the 24 members of the Communist Terrorist Group’s Underground Mass Organization called Nagkakaisang Samahan ng Maralita ng Dicaloyungan (NAGSAMAD) to the government’s peace and development programs in a ceremony held at Sitio Dicaloyungan, Barangay Zabali, Baler, Aurora on March 12, 2022.

Said Underground Mass Organization is affiliated with Advocate of Human Rights Aurora Province (AHRAP) President Enriquito Samulde.

MGen Costelo said that apart from the expression of support, the 24 NAGSAMAD members have also denounced the atrocities, deception, and lies of the CTG affecting innocent civilians.

“Nagpapasalamat ang inyong kasundaluhan sa inyong pagpahayag ng suporta sa ating mga programang pangkapayapaan at pag-ulad. Maaaring naligaw kayo ng landas dahil sa panlilinlang ng teroristang grupo, ang mahalaga dito ay nagbalik-loob na kayong muli sa gobyerno,” said MGen Costelo.

The Withdrawal of Support to CTG of the 24 UGMO members was facilitated by the combined elements of Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHSC) and Charlie Company, 91IB, 7ID together with Baler Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Dennis Balbuena.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P Rubio, Commanding Officer of 91IB extended his gratitude to all government agencies involved for their combined efforts in attaining peace and development in Aurora.

Samulde on the other hand said that he realized that they have been used by the CTG in exploiting various social issues to agitate them and express dissent against the government.

“They used and deceived us. They used us to attend rallies in Metro Manila. This time we will no longer believe in their deceptions and bunches of lies, and we condemn their wrongdoings. We want to live in peace,” he said.

“Napagkasunduan namin na ang Sitio Agaw Lupa ay ipangalan namin na Sitio Pag-asa na,” Samulde added.
