Former Front Secretary of WGF 18 Jocy Villaruel Papasin @Domai, gave birth to her firstborn son at Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center (DOPMC) on the afternoon of March 11, 2022.

Dr. Reden V Bersaldo, Provincial Health Officer, said she gave birth via Normal Delivery performed by Davao Oriental doctors and nurses and is now in stable condition after giving birth.

It can be recalled that @Domai surrendered to 701st Brigade after several months of relentless focus on military operation in November 2021. She was immediately brought to the same hospital for immediate check up as she was 5 months pregnant during that time when she was captured by troops of 66IB and eventually decided to surrender. Since her surrender, the 701st Brigade with the support of PTF-ELCAC Davao Oriental have been ensuring her safety and taking care of her health condition until the day that she delivered her baby.

BGEN OLIVER C MAQUILING PA, Commander of the 701Bde, congratulated @Domai on giving birth to a healthy baby boy and for having the right decision to return to the folds of the law. He further called on remaining NPAs and expressed that, “the government is open to any brothers and sisters who are still in the insurgency movement who want to go back to the folds of the law. A new beginning is awaiting for your peaceful return.”

Meanwhile, @ Domai expressed her gratitude to the 701st Brigade and the PTF-ELCAC Davao Oriental for ensuring her and her baby’s safety and healthcare.

Overwhelmed by emotions, she said: “Kulang yung salitang salamat sa lahat ng tulong na ibinigay sa amin ng 701Bde at ng Davao Oriental Task Force ELCAC, PSWDO at DOPMC. Simula sa pagbubuntis ko hanggang sa manganak ako, nandiyan ang gobyerno na umaalalay sa akin at sa partner ko”.
