BALER, Aurora-A total of 24 supporters have expressed their support to the government and denounced the continuing Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) infiltration to different sectors and violent atrocities in this province have officially declared their withdrawal of support to the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army and National Democratic Forint (CPP-NPA-NDF), authorities said Saturday.

Lt. Col. Reandrew P. Rubio, commander of the Philippine Army’s 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion expressed his appreciation for the joint effort of all government agencies and security forces for the attainment of peace and development in the province of Aurora.

The ceremony for the group’s withdrawal of support was held at the vicinity of Sitio Dicaloyungan, Barangay Zabali, Baler, Aurora on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Rubio said that combined elements of headquarters and headquarters company (HHSC) and Charlie Company, 91IB, 7ID together with Baler Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Dennis Balbuena facilitated the withdrawal of support of twenty four (24) former members of Nagkakaisang Samahan ng Maralita ng Dicaloyungan (NAGSAMAD) an affiliated organization with Advocate of Human Rights Aurora Province (AHRAP) headed by its President Enriquito Samulde.

Likewise, the said group also took their oath and pledged their support to the government.

Rubio said that the activity is a clear manifestation that the Whole of Nation Approach or [Executive Order] 70 was implemented.

He emphasized the importance of preventive measures so communities will not be deceived by the false advocacies of the communist group.

On the other hand, Police Major Balbuena said in a cellphone interview that the Army and PNP are planning to organize the group into people’s organization wherein the local government units will come in for appropriate intervention programs.

He advised that in order not to be deceived by the terrorist group specialy in the issue of land problem, a person must consult first in the proper authorities in the government.

Samulde said that he realized that they have been used by the NPA organization that exploited various social issues to agitate them in dissenting from the government.

“They used and deceived us. They used us to attend rallies in metro manila. This time we will no longer believe in their deceptions and bunches of lies, and we condemn their wrongdoings. We want to live in peace,” he said.

“Napagkasunduan namin na ang Sitio Agaw Lupa ay ipangalan namin na Sitio Pag-asa na,” Samulde said.

The said activity was also attended by Barangay Zabali, Brgy. Captain Renante Mapindan and local media.
