TO HELP curb the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) through information dissemination, the 303rd Infantry Brigade conducted a loudspeaker operations in the province.
Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, brigade commander, said together with 14th Civil Military Operations Battalion (14CMOBn), armed with loud speakers Army troops roamed around the province carrying message of awareness on the current pandemic, practical ways to protect oneself such as practicing good hygiene, social distancing and encouragement to be more vigilant and proactive in beating the virus.

“With the effort of the government troops to spread awareness on the Covid-19 pandemic, the people would be more encouraged to follow the government’s call on quarantine and social distancing,” Pasaporte said.
He explained that loudspeaker operations could also awaken the citizens’ consciousness of their civic duty to follow the government’s directives in this time of health crisis.
Time and again, loudspeaker operations have proven to be a successful tool on many occasions in the past both in military and local governments’ effort to call on the people to rally on a certain cause. Terrorists surrender their arms during the Zamboanga Siege and the Liberation of Marawi when they heard loud voices calling them to go back to the folds of law. It also uplifts the spirits of Yolanda victims when they heard the loud Christmas songs way back 2013, the army commander cited.
“Through this method, 303Bde is hoping that this could help serve their purpose not just advocates of peace but as well as unity and patriotism. With the cooperation of the people, we could surely rise above such trying times and once again live in a healthy and Covid free community,” Pasaport added.
