TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, March 2 (PIA)—The Strategic Communications (StratCom) Cluster, one of the 12 clusters under the Regional Task Force-End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) recently launched its tagline “IDANUN” to be used in all its advocacy activities regionwide.

According to Angely L. Mercado StratCom chair and officer-in-charge of the Philippine Information Agency, IDANUN, an Ilokano word meaning to "bring something", encompasses the efforts and sincerity of the government to Instantly Deliver all its programs and services At the grassroots level with the end view of No Uninformed Netizen left behind.

Mercado, who introduced the Cluster's tagline during the task force's 1st Quarter Meeting for Calendar year 2020 presided by Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS), DOLE Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III, said IDANUN aims to elicit public support and cooperation towards the achievement of peace and security in the Cagayan Valley Region.

The tagline, she said will not only sum up the various agencies' converged and synchronized efforts in bringing programs and services especially to the geographically-isolated and displaced-areas but it will also reinforce the people's trust, confidence and support to end the decades-long insurgency.

She added that while the other clusters converged and synchronized their efforts in bringing all the basic programs and services especially to the geographically-isolated and displaced-areas to attain sustainable peace and development, the StratCom will continuously craft and implement a communication strategy that is proactive and directly communicate to the public the objectives of the RTF-ELCAC towards attaining inclusive and sustainable peace through intensified development and other peace-loving initiatives in conflict-affected and vulnerable communities.

StratCom's member-agencies include National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Department of Education, Philippine Army, National Police Commission, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Philippine national Police, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and the National Economic and Development Authority.
