FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The troops of the Civil Military Operations Regiment (CMOR) were met with protesters as they were entering the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila, on Thursday, January 23, 2020, to pick-up relief goods for Taal evacuees.

The rally was dispersed by the security personnel of the university. The troops were able to haul the goods and had it delivered on the same day in PUP Maragondon, Cavite and Maragondon Municipal Hall.

“We appeal to the protestors to set aside political differences as we endeavor to provide immediate assistance to the affected families. We assure everyone that despite such incidents we will not be distracted from our mission to hastily bring this much needed relief to our people,” said Lt. Col. Ramon P. Zagala, Army spokesperson.
